The key to being popular on the Internet is to post things that remind your audience of their childhood without reminding them how awkward that time was in their life. For example, posting a funny clip from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles without reminding your audience how they used to beg their mom to make english muffin pizzas for their “friends.” Bonus points if you can make the reference hip to modern times and culture, like posting a mashup of the Turtles dancing to the latest MSTRKRFT track without, of course, reminding your audience they can’t, in fact, dance.
